History Of PSL

Perfect Sweaters Limited also known as PSL has a glorious history. The company was established on 28th August 2000(As a sister concern of MAHDEEN Group). After successfully running it for 8 years the company was handed over to Mr. Shafiq Ahmed, the renowned name in the Sweater industry of Bangladesh, he acted as the Executive Director of MAHDEEN Group. Starting from 2009 the company has no look back as Mr. Shafiq Ahmed with his long expertise of the industry, single handedly looked after the marketing and production of PSL.

1st November 2016, is a remarkable day in the history of the company. PSL got its new captain for the project. Mr. Shafiq Ahmed became the new Managing Director of the company along with a new experience board of directors, His younger brother Mr. Saiful Islam (Papon) became the director, who worked with him and was also a proud representative of PSL for the last 8 years. Along with them Mr. Ahmed Ehsan Kabir Shaan also joined the board who is also a family member, he is their nephew. So the new board is very much confined within the family members.

So in total it can be said that the timeline of Perfect Sweater Limited started from the year 2000, and after 16 years in 2016 PSL had a rebirth.

Mr. Shafiq Ahmed, the Chairman/Managing Director of the Perfect Sweaters Limited, is a graduate in B.Com (Hons), M.Com after having an extra ordinary academic career from Dhaka University, he started his career in 1991 at SQ Sweaters one of the leading company of the nation, Since then there was no looking back, with a dynamic career of 27 years and after serving at different top executive posts of the leading sweater manufacturing companies of the country he now holds the steering of PSL since last 8 years.
